Almond Rocca

Ingredients

-1 c. butter
-1 1/2 cup white sugar
-1 tbsp. corn syrup
-3 tbsp. water
-1 c. coarsely chopped almonds
-melted milk chocolate
-1 c. fine chopped almonds

Directions

Melt butter in heavy skillet and add sugar syrup and water. Cook and stir to hard crack stage 300 degrees F. Stir in coarse chopped nuts and pour onto buttered cookie sheet. Move the cookie sheets around until the candy is thin. Spread melted chocolate over candy and dust with fine chopped almonds. Snap into pieces and store in tightly covered container with waxed or parchment paper.
